CAUSE NO BARRIER FOR REEF BEER
Which style of beer goes well with coral?
The answer is up to you. But at least those who have a say in it will have a good conscious.
On the back of a new deal to distribute their brews, Great Barrier Beer has moved to expand its range of beverages that carry an important message and campaign.
Led by James Grugeon, The Good Beer Co works with good Australian craft brewers to develop and sell good drops to raise money for good causes.
Its first beer, Great Barrier Beer, is brewed by Queensland craft brewers, Bargara Brewing Company, and 50% of its profits go to the Australian Marine Conservation Society’s (AMCS) work to protect the famous underwater rock.
Now the special beer has been picked up by BWS in Queensland prompting Grugeon to push for another brew for the stable.
Great Barrier Beer has also been selected for the ING Direct Dreamstarter project with Start Some Good, and is running a campaign to come up with the next beer, backed by three top chefs Spencer Patrick, Ryan Squires and Ben O'Donoghue.
Customers can vote for the style of the new brew on the company’s website.
It’s all for a good cause.
